1) Presos del I.S.M. / M.S.I. inician una HUELGA DE HAMBRE.:
Ocho voluntarios por la paz del ISM /MSI (Movimiento de Solidaridad Internacional) actualmente retenidos por las Fuerzas de Ocupacin Israeles en la comisar de polica del asentamiento de Ariel en Cisjordania han iniciado una huelga de hambre en protesta contra el brutal tratamiento hacia los prisioneros palestinos y en solidaridad con los prisioneros palestinos que realizan huelga de hambre por todas las prisiones de Israel. Los activistas del ISM tambin exigen su propia liberacin inmediata e incondicional, ya que han sido detenidos por protestar pacficamente contra las polticas ilegales de las Fuerzas de Ocupacin de Israel y estn siendo retenidos actualmente en un asentamiento ilegal. Cuatro de los internacionales encarcelados fueron arrestados el mircoles 9 de julio y otros cuatro el 10, ambos grupos dedicados a actividades no violentas. No se les ha garantizado libertad bajo fianza a peticin de la acusacin, que argumenta que son "un alto riesgo para la seguridad". Las audiencias judiciales han sido pospuestas varias veces y no conocen la fecha de la siguiente.

2) Campo de paz de Jenn renace como "campo de la protesta":
Pacifistas del ISM de Suecia, Canad, Dinamarca y los EEUU fueron detenidos en Arabony (rea de Jenin) defendiendo la tierra palestina de ser confiscada para la construccin del muro del Apartheid. Ese mismo da un hombrepalestino fue asesinado por el ejrcito israel en el valle de Berquin, justo al borde de Jenin. A pesar de la "hoja de ruta", Israel contina construyendo el muro del Apartheid y confiscando tierra, y con la continua presencia de bloqueos de carreteras , de "checkpoints" (en castellano, puestos de control militar) y la continua expansin de los asentamientos de colonos ilegales. Tras el inicio de la huelga de hambre de los pacifistas presos, voluntarios de Irlanda, Escocia, Suecia, Dinamarca, Holanda, Canad y los EE.UU. han vuelto al rea del campamento de paz para iniciar las acciones del "Campo de Protesta de Arrabony". Desde esta base los activistas del ISM / MSI llevarn a cabo ciertos proyectos de accin NO violenta en colaboracin con los miembros de la comunidad de la regin de Jenin, como:
- Retirada de los enormes bloques de hormign israeles que impiden el libre transito por las carreteras . El primero ha sido retirado el viernes 18 de Julio en el valle de Berqin donde se perpetr el ltimo asesinato por fuerzas de ocupacin israel.
- Documentacin de los efectos del muro del Apartheid tras visitas por los miembros del ISM/MSI a los pueblos de la zona
- Trabajo comunitario: sigue el "campo de Verano" y otras actividades informales para los nios de la zona. El objetivo e inspiracin de los activistas del ISM / MSI en Jenn sigue siendo la resistencia local contra la devastacin causada por el muro del Apartheid.

3) Ruta alternativa alrededor del muro de aislamiento de los territorios ocupados tras la retirada por parte de pacifistas palestinos e internacionales de un bloqueo de carreteras impuesto por los militares israeles en Tulkarem :
Un grupo de 12 voluntarios internacionales y 15 activistas palestinos desmantelaron un bloqueo de carretera permitiendo el trfico entre Qaffin, en la zona norte de Cisjordania y Tulkarem, al sortear dos puertas del muro del "Apartheid" recientemente construdo. Qaffin, pueblo de 9,000 habitantes situado al noroeste de Baqa al-Sharqiya (al borde de la "lnea verde" que separa el Estado de Israel de los territorios ocupados), haba quedado totalmente rodeada por el muro. La ltima semana se ha terminado una puerta en el lado sur de la ciudad, y el ejrcito israel ha establecido un nuevo checkpoint.
Como resultado, se forman colas de decenas de vehculos en ambas direcciones, con retrasos de hasta dos horas. Se va a terminar la construccin de otra puerta en el lado ese de Baqa al-Sharqiya. SI se cierran estas dos puertas, como se ha hecho en otros casos, ser imposible viajar entre Tulkarem y la zona de Qaffin, que tienen una poblacin total de 15,000 habitantes. Trabajando solamente con herramientas manuales y despus con la ayuda de un tractor aportado por un granjero local, el grupo movi toneladas de grandes y sucias piedras desde un puente donde se haban apilado dos metros de escombros, abriendo un pasillo suficiente para el paso de vehculos sencillos. Unidades del ejrcito israel en la vecindad aparentemente no se han enterado de la accin, y al final del da el trfico a travs del puente era fluido.

1) ISM prisoners stage hunger strike protest
:
Eight peace workers from the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), currently being held by the Israeli Occupation Forces at the police station in Ariel settlement in the West Bank, stopped eating in protest against the brutal treatment of Palestinian prisoners and in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners across Israel hunger striking. The ISM activists are also demanding their own immediate and unconditional release, as they were arrested while peacefully protesting the illegal policies of the Israeli Occupation Forces and are currently being held in an illegal settlement. Four of the internationals imprisoned were arrested Wednesday July 9 and four more were arrested July 10, both groups engaging in non-violent activities. They have not been granted bail at the request of the prosecution, which claims that they are \"a high security risk\". Their judicial hearings have been postponed several times and they have not been given a date for their next hearing. Two Israeli citizens arrested participating in the same activities have already been released and their charges dropped.
2) Peace camp is reborn "protest camp" in Jenn.
Roadblock removal on Friday. It has been one week since four ISM activists from Sweden, Canada, Denmark, and the US were arrested in the village of Arrabony in the Jenin region. They were arrested while staying at a peace camp on Palestinian land scheduled to be confiscated for the building of the Apartheid Wall. On that same day, a man in the Berqin valley, just outside Jenin, was killed by the Israeli military. Despite the \"road map\", Israel continues building the Apartheid Wall, as well as the confiscation of land, the continued presence of roadblocks and checkpoints, and the continued expansion of settlements. ISM activists in Jenin have continued to work with communities across the region, to support nonviolent resistance to the occupation. Two days after the peace activists were arrested, Palestinians from the city of Jenin and at least eight nearby villages worked with ISM activists to remove a roadblock from the village of Abaa. Yesterday, the Jenin prisioners began a hunger protest - in solidarity with the thousands of Palestinian prisoners that continued to be held in violation of international law. Today, ISM volunteers from Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Canada, and the US will return to to the area of last weeks peace camp, to set up the Arrabony Protest Camp. From this base, ISM activists will work with community members from the Jenin region on several projects, including:
-Roadblock removals and other direct actions. The first roadblock removal took place this Friday, in the Berqin Valley, the area of last weeks assassination carried out by Israeli occupation forces. We are also planning more actions in the area.
-Documentation. ISM activists will visit villages in the area to document the effects of the Apartheid Wall.
-Community work. ISM activists will continue to hold an informal "Summer Camp" and other activities for area children. ISM activists in the Jenin region continue to be led and inspired by local resistance to the devastation of the Apartheid Wall.
3) Successful Roadblock Removal Creates Alternate Route Around the "APARTHEID" WALL in Tulkarem area.
[Qaffin, Tulkarem] A group of 12 international volunteers and 15 Palestinian activists removed a roadblock today, allowing local traffic between this Northern West Bank village and Tulkarm to bypass two gates in the newly-constructed separation wall. Qaffin is a village of 9,000 situated northeast of the town of Baqa al-Sharqiya, a Palestinian town on the Green Line that has been completely surrounded by the wall. In the last week, a gate on the southern side of town was completed, and Israeli Army soldiers have now set up a checkpoint. The result is daily traffic queues of dozens of vehicles in both directions, and delays of up to two hours. Construction on another gate on the east side of Baqa al-Sharqiya is nearing completion. If these two gates are closed, as others have been, travel between Tulkarm and the Qafin area, with a combined population of 15,000, will become impossible. Working with only hand tools, and later with the assistance of a tractor brought be a local farmer, the group moved tons of dirt and large boulders from a bridge where debris had been piled two meters high, opening a lane sufficient to allow passage of singe vehicles. Israeli Army units in the vicinity apparently were unaware of the action, and by days end, traffic was passing over the bridge.
